Everything, everywhere, all at once was the emotion on June 10, 2024 as we set off from Santa Monica, California— everything we own, packed and organized, into a motorhome and tow vehicle.

A dream just twelve months prior, the Adversity Into Adventure Foundation’s World Tour commenced with an onslaught of challenges— illness, mechanical issues, logistical complications and heat, intense, record breaking heat that turned our enthusiasm into survival. Not to mention the daily challenge of cycling with a spinal cord injury and raising a three year old toddler... All of this apropos for our namesake, we determined.

Our resolve strengthened with every stop at the hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and recreation groups we’d scheduled as community engagement. Every hug, handshake and high-five reminded us of our purpose and priority over pedaling.

The opportunities for us to pay it forward and impact a life or organization within our 3-ethos is what this tour is all about… And yes, cycling, a lot of cycling!
